The Cultural Resource Fund is being distributed in three phases:
PHASE I GRANTS
Eligible Tribal Nations and State Historic Preservation Officers
The Phase 1 grant process provided an opportunity for all eligible Tribes and SHPOs who submitted an application by August 31, 2015 to participate in the CRF. The Phase 1 grant process has been completed.
PHASE 2 GRANTS
Larger Grants for Cultural and Historic Preservation Projects
Phase 2 offered competitive grants of up to $40,000 each for cultural and historic preservation projects chosen by Tribes and SHPOs. The Phase 2 grantĀ process has been completed.
PHASE 3 GRANTS
Grants for Major Cultural and Historic Preservation Initiatives
The Cultural Resource Fund Advisory Board has decided to offer two tracks of funding in Phase 3:Ā Revitalizing Tribal Languages andĀ Cultural Site Protection.Ā This decision was based on the Tribesā top two priorities in the survey conducted as part of the Phase 1 applications. Additional information will be available in early 2017.
